Two Group Classes - Walking and Relaxation

I run two group classes. Both are thinking about posture and being in the moment and are based on Alexander Technique ideas:

 

  • ​Walk With Ease - an outdoors class where we look at how we walk. We walk small distances, mainly focussing on walking techniques, balance, being in the moment. No fitness levels are needed. This is approximately every fortnight on a Monday in North London, N22​​

 

  • Guided Mind and Body Relaxation - an online zoom class for 25 minutes. We can all have good intention to take time out to relax and be present but it's hard to do this with other distractions. So having a 'live' time to do this with someone else leading the relaxation is an opportunity for self care.

Guided Mind and Body Relaxation

Take time (25 minutes) for yourself to have a guided relaxation and bring some peace and calm into your mind and body.  You can choose to sit or lie down, whatever is most comfortable. I will talk through a relaxation to help you become aware of your body, learn how to relax it and how to quieten your mind. I'll be bringing in my years of experience as an Alexander Technique practitioner plus skills that I have learned from working alongside yoga and mindfulness practitioners to let you renew your day.

Relaxation is not something that is always easy to achieve and so it can be really helpful to have someone talking things through. Having a time that is 'live' rather than intending to listen to a recording gives a focus. 

This is a new class starting on Thursdays at 9.30am. In future I may add more times and days. Subscribe to my newsletter to find out when these will be.

£10 per class

  • How do I book?

As the classes are small, I would advise you to book in advance to avoid disappointment. But you can also check on the day to see if there’s a space free.

  • What do I need to wear and bring?

Wear normal clothes that are comfortable to walk in, appropriate to the day's weather. If you have a bag, you will be carrying it with you.

Join our Walking with Ease class and learn simple ideas from the Alexander Technique to improve how you move—whether you're walking for fitness, leisure, or recovery. No particular level of fitness is required. We look at walking techinques with body awareness, walking for short stretches before gathering to observe how a small change can have a big impact.

  • Move with less effort – reduce strain and walk more comfortably

  • Improve posture – align your body for fluid, natural movement

  • Enhance clarity – calm your mind and stay present
