As this is a skill-building methodology, I offer an initial 6-session programme to give you the chance to develop a good skill-base that should make a real difference in your everyday life and give you long-lasting effects.
As with learning any skill, the more you practice and explore it, the more you will get out of it and the deeper and broader your understanding and application will be.

As it’s not an exercise class, you’ll just need to wear everyday comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.
I will be able to assess your posture and your movement without you needing to get undressed at any point.

Traditionally, people have come on their own, but I also offer sessions for two people to experience the Alexander Technique together.
It can be really interesting for people to share what they've learned and their observations after sessions.
Being each other’s accountability partner can also help to embed good practices ongoing.
If you would like to come as a larger group, please get in touch so we can talk through your options.

The technique in the Alexander Technique is more about thinking than doing. So it's not an exercise class.
However, it does complement gym classes, yoga, Pilates, running, tennis and other forms of exercise by helping you to understand how to move more easily and to think about your whole body, not just individual muscles.
Many professional sports people have had Alexander Technique lessons to learn how to prevent injury.
It’s also wonderful for older people in general and for anyone who has had an injury that makes it more difficult to walk, run or cycle. Learning the safest way of moving can build up strength and mobility, helping you to get back to activities you enjoy.
